Slack Recipients

Slack recipients are channels that will receive the alerts. You can add multiple channels or a single channel for all alerts.

How to create a Slack Webhook URL

1. Go to Slack Apps
2. Create an app by clicking on "Create an app", selecting "From scratch" and giving it a name (e.g. "Ironforge")
3. Go to the newly created app
4. In the sidebar go to Basic Information, scroll down to Display Information and add an app icon (download icon here)
5. In the sidebar go to the "Incoming Webhooks" section and activate it.
6. Click on "Add new Webhook to Workspace" and select the channel you want to add the webhook to (e.g. #alerts-ironforge)
7. Copy the webhook URL and go back to Ironforge and add the webhook URL to the Slack recipient

How to add a Slack recipient

1. In Ironforge, go to the Alerts Settings
2. Click on "Add Recipient"
3. Select "Slack", give it a name and add the webhook URL
4. Click on "Add"

Now, when creating an alert rule, you can select the Slack recipient to send the alert to.
